Treated wastewater from the Fukushima nuclear power plant, where reactors melted down after a 2011 earthquake and tsunami, is now being pumped back into the Pacific Ocean. While experts say the water isn’t dangerous, many are worried about the move. NBC News’ Janis Mackey Frayer reports.

It's over, Japan will discharge millions of tons of nuclear sewage, which will last for 30 years, and Japan will endanger all mankind
If that's the case, then why doesn't the Japanese government just filter it out and let the Japanese people use it as domestic water? Why would the Japanese government not allow other countries to take samples of discharged nuclear water? It's not a guilty conscience. What is it? If this is not enough proof of Japan's wickedness, then why spend more than 70 billion yen to keep quiet, your government is only showing you what it wants you to see.
They should use it inland in Japan if they really believe It is safe. Japan will discharge the waste water from their damaged nuclear plant for 30 years. Guys! It is not only a one-time pollution. it is 30-year consistent pollution to the ocean.

Japan is poisoning people around the world, and the United States is his accomplice
😂
Perfect… 👌🏽
That’ll do a number on “global warming” for sure.
f**u U Japan!
☢ Japanese dumped nuclear contaminated water into the sea
I have a question for the Chinese government, the Chinese people, the Koreans who are against the release of radioactive treated water, and those who believe the information.
Do you know that the radioactivity emitted from nuclear power plants in China and South Korea is higher than that emitted from nuclear power plants in Japan?
In fact, China emits about 6.5 times more tritium than Japan, and South Korea emits about 14 times more tritium than Japan.
Isn't there something you have to think about more than Japan?
One more. It's okay to say bad things about Japan. But I think I've taken it too far. Sending out unreliable information, sending out information that is not true, and saying "this is Japan" even though it is information about the sea near Mexico, it's messed up.
I can't help but think that some of them are anti-Japanese, and this decision is the responsibility of the Japanese government, the IAEA, and TEPCO, and has nothing to do with the Japanese people and the country itself.
I do not say that the information that Japan sends is "lie" or "distorted".
Fighting won't bring good results. Do you not think anything of the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake, those who died, and those who bravely acted and risked their lives to prevent the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant from worsening?
Also, I have something to say to those who ask, "Why aren't you drinking treated water?"
The amount of treated water is enormous, and even if we were to drink it, it would take more than 100 years.
If you think realistically and release it, it will disappear faster.
Godzilla reborn: 2023
That’ll be great for the environment Im sure. Im sure the “experts” thought it all out
Why Japanese don't drink it themselves? After COVID 19 what will humanity face if these chemicals released into the sea and flows around this earth. People in California will Face more cancer for sure
I think this major disaster – human made with intention – is being kept from much of the world. The voices need to keep speaking, keep sharing, the world needs to know about this terrible action being taken by Japan. This is a crime against humanity😱
this is honestly the worst time in history to be a pescatarian 🤦
Better prove the water is safe for Japanese cropes first. That way if something goes wrong, at least it won't spread globally by seas. Oh forgot, US loves this Japan as their poo dog, it is therefore keeping silent. As long as it irritates China, they can care less.
Before criticize Japan`s discharging, please check the amount of tritium emissions of other countries use nuclear power and emit tritium. Japan`s amount of emissions is overwhelmingly few than other countries.
Energy is conserved. Without terminating the energy reaction, or isolating the energy transmission, the radiated energy will not disappear out of thin air. The current practice is just to dilute it, and if enough people eat it, they won't die. But after the water is absorbed by the body, it irradiates the cells through the blood. What to do with egg cells, there is only one copy of DNA, if it is destroyed and develops into an adult, there will be organ function defects and limb disabilities
Japan did what it should never have done
Japan needs to be hit one more time "little boy"
Shame on the Japanese government. Is the ocean your country's? If it's not contaminated, why don't you keep it for drinking and swimming?😅
Yes there is a large island you live on, you should pour it on a holes! Siht face a holes!
China is fine dust, Japan is radioactive, North Korea is nuclear weapons, Russia is war..
Because of these guys, South Korea is in great pain
If someone says it is safe, I will believe you,but please drink it for your conclusion.
Only the Japan said it is treated by the Japan's own standard. who other coutries else have approved that?
A civilization is only as smart as the waste of its engines.
Radiation is particle-based, so the damage to egg cell DNA is a probability, not a strength. In the future, there will be many organisms with defects in organs and limbs.
Greta Thunberg What international environmental organization seems to be missing
Japan's Prime Minister Kishida set off a dirty bomb in the sea in front of Fukushima.
In less than three years, all the oceans will be contaminated with radioactivity.
All the people of the world will have to stand up and condemn Japan's atrocities.
The sea belongs to the people of the world, not just the Japanese.
The people of the world command you. Prime Minister Kishida, stop discharging radioactive contaminated water from Fukushima immediately!
