Bad reporting. It is not legal to park on the shoulder of interstate 5 adjacent to the rest area. The shoulder is outside the boundary of the rest area. The shoulder is wide due to the construction of the rest area. It’s not a parking zone. It’s the shoulder of interstate 5.

As a truck driver, hey just get you some sleep man. Stop driving tired. Pull over to a rest area , pilot , flying j. And sleep. No need to use meds to stay up and still be tired. Use your head. Sad situation

The standard is 110 years. That is what the truck driver in Colorado received when his breaks failed and he crashed. I know different states different laws/punishment’s, but anything less than 110 years would show how unjust and unfair our criminal justice system is.
That highway needs rest stops. It's too narrow for the use. They need a frontage road the whole length. They use it as a sidewalk too because there's no alternative. If the state wasn't so busy giving all the jobs
away.

Who allows these truck driver to drive over 80/ h…. They should be strict law that refrain them driving over 65/h…..these mother truckers. .
There are victims out there that went through the same tragedy or worse that didn't make National news. Why is this one different?
i was once a truck driver and i can safely say that man is a disgrace to all truck drivers. we pride ourselves on being Professional drivers who are held to a higher standard of professionalism behind the wheel.
