So the journalist just said that COBSUMER DEMAND FOR GOODS FELL post covid? Really?? Isn't our Whitehouse and the fedERAL reserve (which just raised interest rates to a 22yr high) telling the sheep that the INCREASED DEMAND for goods in POST covid America is WHAT CAUSED inflation? Cause we thought it was simply unregulated corporate greed n consumer price gouging and govt complicity that create the fake economic money grab going on right now.

You know the truck driving industry has really had an opportunity to speak to the American people in these last few years. Did think that the American people don't respect you is ludacris. But I do wish that you would take the opportunity to explain to the American people a very frustrating issue that's going on in our country right now and quite frankly some Americans are downright terrified although I am not one of those. Why does somebody need an American drivers license to drive in America? Why does somebody when entering our country weather on vacation or through a work visa or moving here need and deserve a driver's? Why would there be no issue about giving someone else that is not an American a driver's license in any of our state's? Does Canada have a different driver's license that you have to apply and pass a test for to drive there or can you use an American drivers license or does a CDL have remarkable circumstances that allows them to cross borders? You see we have idiots thinking that if you are not white and a migrant you are lying and have fraudulently obtained a driver's license in America which one should not be able to get if there not an American. I'm tired of the b***** when it comes to the importance of truck drivers and yet nobody will step up and explain these simple truths that will crush their ignorance and make them happier and at peace. Unless terrified of illegal aliens crossing the border to eat them and their babies in their sleep. Talk about a platform truck drivers. Use it for the good of all for a change when you're talking about your rights in your importance because we already know all that and nobody is in conspiracy just stopped production or food or shipping to sabotage you or the American people. My daddy was a truck driver my brother was a truck driver so I am not being biased against truck drivers because I think they're ignorant or I'm being disrespectful I'm telling you you can make a difference in so many ways other than this
Fk trucking, I did it for 18 years and sometimes you sit for days waiting for a load. You don’t get paid for half your work and 12 hours is a short day. Welfare pays more.

i chased that rainbow into a heart condition. the company i was driving for fired me and tried to deny my unemployment saying i quit no notice and just abandoned my truck on the yard.

I make less now than I did 15 years ago. I’m still trying to figure out why the government hasn’t stepped in. I guess we’re not important till there’s another pandemic.

The advice I've collected from talking to truckers is buy your own rig new (less repairs means more road time for your single truck), Lease any trailers you use, and work for a decent trucking company that works with owner/operators.
Or, work for someone else and drive their truck.
You can make $31+/hour driving daily routes for XPO where I live.
I first started trucking and didn't have a refrigerator for at least 10 years or more. Went 59 days without a paycheck that's 6 weeks.
