Basically how this works. The defendant and their lawyer sits in a room with the prosecution. The lawyer asks “let me s see the evidence against my client”? Then the lawyer views the evidence and advises the defendant on how to proceed. So, basically there must be over whelming evidence of guilt.

Also they have only been found guilty, the DA is the one recommending the probation and fines, the judge will determine if she goes to jail or probation when she is sentenced.
