In a recent interview by Salon magazine, former DOJ prosecutor Kenneth McCallion voiced the opinion that this might end with a plea bargain where charges against Trump will be dropped in return for him never running for political office again. Sort of like what happened to Spiro Agnew back in the day. Not exactly sweet justice but it would put an end to this drama.
