If America doesn't protect the world, no one will use dollars.
And no one is buying US Treasury bonds.
And no one is investing astronomical amounts of money into the United States.
The United States will no longer be able to dominate international finance, and its influence on international organizations will disappear.
As a result, the United States will be ruined immediately due to dollar collapse, bond collapse, and massive debt. And it is forever irreversible.
Are there any idiots who think that if the dollar loses its reserve currency function, the United States can take on astronomical amounts of debt?
Before accusing others of not paying their dues !! Maybe, just maybe…. you should start paying with interest what you owe the government, or more accurately, what you stole from the government all those years !!
Yes, European NATO-countries should contribute much more to their own security, from all kinds of threats, not only those from Putin’s regime. European defense analysts also confirm that Europe should not rely so much on the USA for its own safety – certainly not when a prospective US President like Trump casts doubt on meeting its obligations as a NATO-member.
Maybe the USA would do well to leave NATO, as Trump has suggested in the past. Then NATO would no longer be a ‘North Atlantic’ alliance, and therefore cease to exist.
This would leave Europe with no other option than to largely increase its spendings on its own defense. And because it would take quite some time before it can stand on its ow feet militarily, maybe the European priority should be on leaving the NPT, with Europe developing its own nukes, and publicly advocating a ‘first strike’-scenario so Russia would know what to expect in case of aggression against Europe.
And yes, such a scenario would lead to World War III, nuclear destruction, and a nuclear winter worldwide – including the USA. Divisions as promoted by Trump never led to anything good, or did they?

NATO needs to pay there on bill
As a former serviceman who has worked with NATO, it no longer fits for purpose. NATO is purely the political arm of the EU. They walk lockstep together. Once a formidable compact, it is now a fractured, misguided organisation. Member countries, from my understanding, are turning on each other. Trump is correct. Each NATO nation needs to stop and increase spending to at least 15% of their GDP. America can no longer be the big stick in town. A lot of finger-pointing but no gains. to abandon NATO today is a smart move.

I am horrified by Donald Trump's pressuring the Republican Party to stop aid to Ukraine, and his threatening to abandon our NATO allies.
It is beyond my ability to comprehend or stomach what Donald Trump has done and continues to do to our country and the world. It is beyond my ability to digest how a once respectable GOP and a once honorable segment of the American populace could come to see Trump as not only a good president but a good man – a good man who was, in the eyes of some, chosen by God.
When I watch films of famous dictators like Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Mussolini, etc., I wonder how millions of people could admire and even come to worship such men when all I see is vanity, anger, and deception. Then it dawns on me that what those millions of people saw was, in fact, a reflection of themselves and their vanity, anger, and self-deception.
When a people and a nation reach a certain point in their evolution where a large segment of the population becomes discontented and angry, narcissistic and sociopathic leaders can appear who take advantage of that discontent and anger. They see an opportunity to insert themselves into positions of leadership and power by appealing to those among the people who feel, for whatever reason, helpless, hopeless, and powerless. And like all leaders, they make themselves a mirror for those people. But rather than promise to promote healing and well-being for everyone in the nation, as good leaders do, they instead promise to return things to an imaginary time of greatness, and promise to compensate them for past perceived wrongs, and then give them scapegoats they can blame and take revenge upon.
When men like Donald Trump work their way into power, good men and women seem helpless to stop the dark times that a country and its people are almost certain to be forced to endure. The fabric of a nation is torn in two. The people become polarized between those who support the leader and those who see him for what he is. Each sees the other in almost the same way, and each accuses the other of the same flaws, shortcomings, and crimes. Each accuses the other of being brainwashed, or of being evil, or of being dangerous, and a threat to the other. The problem is, though both sides may exhibit similar traits in polar opposition, it is almost always one side that is most responsible for the disruption of the common good – the common good that is necessary for a nation to maintain a healthy economic, political, and social equilibrium.
Perhaps, without realizing it, or perhaps because they think it is the right thing to do, the followers of Donald Trump are responsible for the destabilization of the nation. They are supporting the dismantling of the traditional institutions, like NATO, that have enabled the United States, despite its flaws and mistakes, to be a force for good, both at home and in the world. They have joined Trump in making a mockery of all that should be taken seriously and dealt with honestly, rationally, and soberly. And they have turned the American Polity and Body Politic into a circus of clowns, wild animals, and a screaming, hysterical crowd.
The shame I am feeling cannot be overestimated, nor the fear that in the future, when the United States and the American People are in some kind of dire need, either at home or in some foreign place, there may be no one left who is willing to help us. Then, we will finally discover what we have done by allowing Donald Trump to put ‘America First.’

An ocean separated Japan and the US in WW2 as well. We allowed Europe to be conquered before actually stepping in. Sounds oddly familiar. How far is Russia from Alaska? Or China from Hawaii. How long does an intercontinental missile take to travel? No doubt they should invest more but remember their goal is to take us on when we have no allies to help. That’s kind of a big point to miss.
Stability in the world is not provided by NATO, but by common sense. Why do we need a military alliance when we have nuclear weapons? It is common sense that prevents the use of nuclear weapons, not fear of NATO.
The world doesn't need NATO, killing millions, not a defense pact but attack.
What planet is Trump on? I'm European. NATO Europe should make US pay for starting the war in Europe Ukraine and 2022 Nord Stream pipeline sabotage.

The other day while doing my gratitude list, I gave thanks I wasn't born in the United States of America!
NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in its history after the 9/11 terrorist attacks against the United States. The UK and Germany – who had the largest numbers of troops in Afghanistan after the US – spent an estimated $30bn and $19bn respectively over the course of the war.
So when America ask help Europe did spend ridiculous amount money in Afghanistan. War that did not make any sense and it ended way it did. But now when Russia try take over Europe and your allies you say enough no money in Europe! After Ukraine war military spending in Northern and Central Europe has increase 345 billion euros. Can you imagine how much of that money goes in America when buying your weapons and supporting your economy? Example Finland. Country with population 5,5 million people have bought guns in USA total worth of 14 billions euros just during short time. 64 F-35 fighters, Himars systems etc. Where do you guys think you will get money and markets if Russia eats countries like Ukraine, Finland, Poland, Norway, Sweden etc. Do you understand that when Russia gets bigger then USA gets smaller? There are less countries who buy your guns and other products. Its means your salaries go down and war comes closer your border. Then you need to fight that war yourself (not you but your kids kids after time). Why can't you understand it??
Problem is Southern European countries like France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Turkey and Greece. When talking about NATO not doing enough we talk these countries. Greece and France spend lot their military but they don't share their guns or help others so Greece spending 3% is relevant. They think (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France) they have no enemies and they don't support NATO and our alliance same way. They try to save their money and they might even leave NATO if they need to pay or help others way Northern countries are doing. Germany was problem before but not anymore they have step up.
