I think what they were looking for in the raid was papers concerning Crossfire Hurricane, that Trump had ordered declassified on the 19th of January '21, which the Justice Department has so far failed to publish in the Federal Register as ordered by Trump. After the order was given then-Chief of Staff Meadows went crawling over to Justice and instructed them to create a version with all the names of perpetrating agents involved redacted, but even that wasn't enough for our "secretive" Justice Department, which has refused to declassify or publish them in any form. I expect Trump has them hidden somewhere, and hope the perps don't get them till the discovery phase of their trials commences.
It's not a civil investigation. It's criminal. And when she demanded all the discovery from the Southern District's criminal investigation into misappraising properties – which has probably been dropped – they refused to turn them over. That one can decline to "INCRIMINATE" one's self according to the 5th Amendment, sort of makes it clear. She's running a criminal investigation and pretending it's for some kind of recovery owed to the state.
