You don't like the "timing" don't do the crimes and get 4 trials. Also the judge asked the defense for a reasonable time frame. They were the ones who turned their noses at that request. Great reasoning.
This is not legal, it is pure vengance politics. The state does NOT have the "right" to a speedy trial, the defendant does. These faux judges should be removed.

This early trial date is also a blessing in disguise for Trump as it will afford him the opportunity to quickly prove that he really did nothing wrong.
Once his innocence had been established he won't even have to campaign anymore. He could just sit back and count those vindications that will come flying in along with millions of dollars more in donations as he luxuriates in the fairness of American justice.
To top it all off, the Oval Office will await his considerable frame to occupy it again.
It’s good seeing the way these trials are degrading Trump’s life. Even better, though, is the way they’re exposing even more imbecile devotees to never waste precious time, effort or resources interacting with.
This is an orchestrated attack on Trump with collusion between the various people involved. The Democrats are planning to steal the 2024 election saying the undecided voter voted against Trump.
The year 2024 is going to be really stressful watching this and trying to predict who will win the election.

He is not being treated as any other defendant, if he is allowed to appeal and thereby delay the start of his trial. We are in this mess because certain people have extra rights!

Having MORE legal 'challenges' if anything, creates MORE urgency to determine if he needs to be removed from society (our standard consequence in serious criminal violations), not an excuse to give him more time to violate more laws.

No need for an appeal of his basic immunity to delay the trial. If he is immune, he would be immune to the consequences of being guilty. There should be no problem with holding the trial and if he is convicted and sentenced and SCOTUS …finally… declares him immune, he can be let out of prison. But since it is made clear in the constitution that a President, even if impeached and convicted in the senate, "shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law." And if it was a crime, it would not be per his duty: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” It is not likely even a somewhat corrupt SCOTUS will let him off the hook, though it is credible they may create delay for him, if they consider it worth the risk of creating a situation where the court gets 'remade'.
what a tragic irony. trump's "interference" trial date is set exactly to certain dates to interfere with his reelection. the more i see this the more i've started to hate the democrats, the justice system and quite honestly this country for allowing such blatant politically motivated trials for democrats to eliminate their political rival. shameful and sad! america truly is a 3rd world banana republic now.
Just remember, the Secret is also a law enforcement agency. They are not 'just' body guards.
When it comes time to bring him to jail, there is no need to send the FBI or US Marshalls.
I do hope the biden Administration is being careful to do psychologiocal testing to make sure Trump has not corrupted any of his agents. Trump has a long history of corrupting people who are close to him, just like a certain being referenced in the Bible, which Trump has never read.

Silly talking heads: Why accept delays simply because Trump's attorneys try real hard to create delays and have more time to 'interfere' with Witnesses and Juries? If they had argued in 'good faith', there would be some reason to believe they had a strategy for defense other corrupting the trial or just keeping their client out of jail until after the trial is over, which means delay, delay, delay… If a person is supposed to be in jail, it is better for society that we discover that sooner than later.
