U.S. intel agencies are looking to alter how they monitor chat rooms and social media platforms online after a leak of sensitive Pentagon documents on Discord, according to sources familiar with the matter. NBC’s Dan De Luce has the details.

It was probably leaked by the government to justify monitoring social media of US citizens.
Maybe I'm wrong but life wasn't quite this turbulent a few years ago. The only turbulence was an everyday assault on one particular elected official of the "orange" persuasion. Maybe it's not their fault but this current
"administration" has made us look incredibly weak and even inept. It also feels like we are at odds with so many other countries, that it's inevitable we will get further into military conflict. Seems like we continue to stick our nose into everything but the issues here at home. For example, I must have missed it, (even though I try to read a bit everyday) but those other "things" we shot down after the "balloon", did our leaders ever say exactly what those were? I certainly have been astonished that those just kinda went away and it seems like everyone is cool with that. No questions asked. Add in the fact that internally, the US citizens are fighting an online civil war with one another on topics from beer cans to "is that really a baby yet?" All spurred along by our unbiased "news agencies" which only share the news, not just a majority of "expert" opinions before we even get a chance to digest what's being "reported." 😐 Stand back a moment and check out how in danger of losing everything that caused others to respect us and us to respect ourselves we are. It's nothing terribly new, but it feels like it's not just on our shoes anymore……maybe it's up to our waists and rising? The citizens are the only ones that can stop this trajectory, but the powers that be made it very clear what happens to dissidents here very recently and as long as we have good connectivity on our handheld computers that can make phone calls, we won't factor in to that, we'll just continue falling further down the hole we are digging.

The leaked documents show what we should already know. The government and their lackies in establishment media have been lying to us since the beginning about Ukraine.
Remember Snowden was in trouble for leaking that Obama had a drone strike program that had a 90% civilian casualty rate. He was in trouble because that was the truth, not for lying.
So this was their plan all along. A new patriot act.
