U.S. News indefinitely delays release of law and med school rankings



There is growing pushback against the U.S. News and World Report rankings for grad schools with the organization indefinitely delaying the law and medical school list. NBC’s Ron Allen has more on why many top schools are boycotting in what seems to be a ranking reckoning.

  1. I never liked these stupid rankings. This is long overdue.

  2. Interesting. I think the only #Ranking that should matter is: Were you able to get a job, doing what you studied for (ie; Dr., Lawyer, etc.) within two months of graduation? Otherwise, the education is failing students. After that, the rest of the 'ranking' system can be for things like happiness; expenses; safety, etc… The overall rank should add up all the numbers, but ability to find a job should be separate and head the list. 🤷‍♀️ Jus' MHO.

  3. These rankings are important and it factors into decisions of millions of students around the world.

  4. Diversity in university admission is racism because it is discriminating against Asians. If you care so much about racial diversity, then let's talk about NBA. How many Asians are playing in NBA?

  5. What this says to me is – these "top" schools want to lower their standards and entry levels to get more black students through their doors, but they don't want to be called on it.
    P.S. I wouldn't go near any school in Illinois.
