I just sum up what I think are the possibilities with an open mind:
regarding the aircraft: It could have been
a advanced US aircraft
a US aircraft using reverse engined alien technology
an aircraft from a different country
not an aircraft of any kind but a meteoroid
regarding the aliens
the witnesses were making it up
the witnesses were honest but these tall aliens were actually sth else
these were indeed aliens and the US government has no idea
these were indeed aliens who partnered up with the US government, piloting aircrafts
any other possibilities here?
The issue I have is – and I witness this with several other high sensitive topics: When you either talk about what you have witnessed or simply want to talk about probabilities and you are immediately overly ridiculed or threatened or called a liar or labelled as someone who just seeks attention, then there must be something. If I put myself in the shoes of the US government, a superpower: What advantage would I have if I unveiled any UFO programs and what advantage would I have if I kept it a secret?

There have been a couple instances, nothing crazy, but things I saw and couldn't write off as being a satellite or plane. 3 years ago around dusk I was sitting out on the patio with my family and noticed to the south what looked like the first visible star that night. Didn't think anything of it until it hovered slowly to the left, stopped, then left-downwards before fading until it was no longer visible. Made no sound.
Then just a few nights ago I pointed out to my parents what I thought was an airplane that was flying west to east above our house. Only it didn't make any sound and it had a single blinking light that was brighter and flashed slower than what you typically see on airplanes, then completely vanished seconds after I spotted it.
