we don't have the infrastructure to charge a nation of electric cars. The alternatives to gasoline have to be in place first so there is something to "transition" to.

Yes you can’t rely on non Tesla vehicle charging stations and vehicles. It doesn’t take 2 hours to charge on a Tesla charger. Tesla chargers are rarely broken. And Tesla had the model X pull a jet so horse trailers and jet skis no problem. People should be able to drive whatever vehicle they wish. I wish the Biden administration would stop ruining our country we aren’t ready for the type of green they want.
