So let’s blame the travelers for not being prepared to spend 10 or more days in the airport. Let tell the family with small kids to suck it up, life on the airport floor for 10 days is expected.

It was very much evident from Dec 24 that it was not ice and rain in the Northwest that canceled several flights (100s to 1000s) from and to in that region alone by many airlines. We are not talking about conditions in Buffalo or in the East Coast or Mid-West.
Travelers must be paid for the expenses caused by the interruptions. Ready to wait-8-9 hours to speak to an airline representative.

The national weather service warned of this weather. If you took a flight and can't get home it's your own fault. Not the airlines. They know it's not safe to fly their planes.
Why? No one forced these idiots to go to the airport and get stranded!! We all knew this storm was coming and had plenty of time to prepare and make good decisions!! People nowadays want to blame others for the stupid decisions they make!! PATHETIC!!
Thankfully, I quit travelling on Southwest this past summer.
