The community of Uvalde, Texas is marking one year since the shooting at Robb Elementary School that left 19 students and two teachers dead. The mayor of Uvalde called for privacy and compassion as families continue to mourn.

Police waited outside for 2 HOURS. PARENTS insisted they save CHILDREN. Hearing gunshots kids screamin. Police settin up PERIMETER outside the building.

I thank God I was fortunate not to live in gun-happy America. I'm also sick of watching a pink war in Ukraine on the other side of the world and American mass shootings taking up news space while Aotearoa New Zealand rugby sevens teams winning is much better news. Just because Americans have stupid gun laws and are idiots that shoot school kids does not mean the rest of the world wants to hear about it day after day after day after day. It's boring!
Man..back in when I lived in US, we had columbine, dc sniper and other resentful tragedies. However, shooting at young kids elementary school is beyond my worst imagination! Where all these great American spirit that I’ve seen in US? It seems like that exemplary American mind has been changed.
The Republicans have complete control over gun policy in the US. So why are they not doing anything about guns and gun violence?
And only a few hundred mass shootings and a few hundred children killed by guns since then…🤷 what is your point if you are not gonna do anything about it?
If the police had shot the shooter, it would have made the case for the usefulness of firearms in a desperate situation.
But our government wants to disarm schools, citizens, municipalities, individuals…
So the cops stood around and let the shooter shoot kids.

This is very SAD TO REMEMBER. One year and the killing with firearms at other schools and public places continues without stopping at nothing. I guess the ONLY CURE TO STOP this criminal deceased is THE DEAD PENALTY TO THE ONES FOUND GUILTY. And no more arguments above the 2nd. AMENDMENT. Period!.

Doesn't even seen it has been one year already had passed when this happened and still the Republicans on Capitol Hill isn't helping to do anything about this major issue on gun control along with all of these mass shootings if anything they are encouraging open carrying laws without showing any type of permit to carry that gun and the republican-controlled red States the only thing that they are going to do is give their false fake condolences to the victims and family members

My Heart still aches for those children who's lives were taken away and their families who are still suffering the lost. Then the anger takes over me because the Uvalde Police were just outside the door and did not go in to help them.
