The policeman was a coward. I would shoot without permission to save kids.
I hope he is already fired without pay,that is negligence and a non forgivable action taken by that supposed to be officer and all those that were in that hallway…That's the action that needs to be taken, they all need to be removed from force. New officers are needed…
They fired 90 times upon an unarmed. black running away during a traffic stop, but needed permission to shoot here.

The US Supreme Court has made it clear that law enforcement agencies are not required to provide protection to the citizens who are forced to pay the police for their "services." The taxpayers have to pay their taxes and submit to police agencies as lawful authority. If the agencies or individual agents are forced to pay as a result of lawsuits, it's the taxpayers who will pay for that too. Oh sure, the senior leadership positions may change, but the enormous agency budgets will remain, the government agents themselves will continue to collect generous salaries and pensions, and no government will surrender its monopoly on the use of force.

It’s Often in a crisis people find out what they’re really made of…. For some it’s a courage they never knew before… and others like Arredondo find cowardice hidden under his badge and bravado.
The worst type of leader is one who doesn’t take action and prevents others from doing so just by acting like he’s in charge or got it under control.
Arredondo is a poser…. Holding the position of a big Chief and pretending to take action, but mostly he just wants to look good and keep others from seeing his cowardice.
He had a hallway full of officers, ballistic shields, body armor, automatic rifles, etc… all within the first few mins of time… And plenty of officers, (and even parents), willing and wanting to do what was so urgently needed.
He didn’t employ those options but instead he hid in the hallway right outside that classroom listening to defenseless children being slaughtered while he pretended to wait for keys…. KEYS?
Or just his cowardly excuse to avoid engaging with the shooter.
Yes many students likely died in that initial round of gunfire but how many were shot later or bled to death while he waited for KEYS?
I guess we all missed the training protocol about being careful not to break any doors during a school shooting.
Arredondo is a coward who was afraid to get shot at (I can understand that … it’s why I wouldn’t take the job of a police officer… but he did… so why didn’t He at least ask someone else to take over? Maybe bc he was also afraid to be seen as a coward? For Arredondo is seemed better to pretend to be doing something….like looking for keys…as his excuse for not taking real action.

You put them on the spot and as a Houstonian, it makes me happy to know that the Houston Astros are going to Uvalde to give them a lil piece of sunshine. Houston is with Uvalde all the way. I visited the memorial as well, and got to visit the campus, and felt the sadness, but I also felt peace. May God bless you all and don't forget you are not alone. We are here for you all. hugs!!

This case just keeps getting more infuriating by the day. The twenty-one souls who passed away that day didn’t need to had the police acted with bravery and courage. They failed everyone in that community. I pray that they live with the guilt and shame that was their cowardice and inaction for the rest of their lives.
