As students prepare to go back to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, just months after a deadly mass shooting at the school, parents are having to decide what steps to take to keep their children safe. Adam Martinez, a father of two children who went to Robb Elementary, joins News NOW to share why he is opting for virtual learning instead of sending them back into the classroom.

The voters are to blame. We know how much damage a military rifle can do and we still allow 18 year olds with no military training to buy these guns. The shooter was not mentally ill. He planned that for years.
i read that Robb elementary was supposed to permanently close because of what happened. what changed their minds to re open knowing innocent lives were taken that day.
Just tell them that an entirely new police force from the land of the living and not from the land of inept cowards
I'm sorry to say, but they're incredibly valid in that feeling.
1) They're returning to the same exact environment, no teardown, no renovation. Children can very likely have flashbacks of that day.
2) They're being "protected" by a lot of the same officers who let the tragedy happen in the first place.
3) Future school shooters will see the lack of inaction and lack of protection. You think all of this won't register in their minds?

They did not reopen Robb, 3rd and 4th are going to Benson instead, but they're renaming it to Uvalde Elementary.
Robb is NOT reopening. They're still tearing it down.

They already killed the gunman. He’s dead. He’s not coming back.
What the heck ,,there allowing kids to go back to uvalde elementary school ,,No fricken way ,, after the horrible tragedy ,,the poor children and, the teachers who were gunned down by a crazed psycho ,,I can imagine the school board even wanting the children to go back there ,,what the heck is the matter with them are they on crack ,,that darn school needs to be bull dozed ,,Evilness lurks there now ,,oh my why would you even consider it ,,No I wouldn't send my kids there if it were the last school on earth ,,you are so very wrong to do this ,,the families that lost there loved ones there still in mourning and grieving for there babies ,,you school need to have your heads examined ,, the school is no longer any good ,,the children are frightened still ,,use common sense ,,my love and hugs to all of the uvalde families and there surviving babies
