8:53 Um what??? The umpire shakes his head not out then fires him??? Hahaha what is going on…
I'm Canadian and played a lot of cricket. I played for Happy Valley in SA and Castaways at home, Victoria BC Canada. It's been a while, but watching these highlights brought back some feelings. Your on 19 and hit one caught on the Square leg boundary, or you hit a missile to point, and it's over. What a horrible feeling. It's way worse when your gone for a duck. Even if your at 52 and hole out Fââk ! What a game. I grew up playing baseball, so I had a good eye, but in baseball, you get 4 opportunities a game, and even if you go 0-4, you know next game you will get a chance. I batted #5 to #7 on a very good team. In a 50 over game, I might not bat at all or come in late when the team needs you to score. It's near impossible to have a high average. I was always 28 to 35 for a season. Golf helped my cricket keeping my head still. A cricketer just starting golf is going to slice everything. Lucky I started golf at 13. All this is to say what a great and terrible game wrapped into one !
