The suit says Hawaiian Electric Industries should be held accountable for “negligence, trespass, and nuisance.” The utility company was “a substantial factor” in the deadliest U.S. wildfire in over a century that left 99 people dead, historic and cultural sites in ashes and thousands of people without homes.

Hawaiian Electric Industries is the largest supplier of electricity in Hawaii. San Diego- and Wailuku-based law firm Singleton Schreiber filed the lawsuit on Monday.

  1. New York Governor Josh Green did this with his Global 2030 FIENDS

  2. Spraying water on live power lines

  3. Awesome❤❤❤❤😊😊😊

  4. Hmm, Water V. Electricity..

  5. With water all around, the ocean, rivers, lakes, also pools how is that it went out of control!❤😢😢😢

  6. There are people claiming power was off hours before the fire started so ..

  7. The responses by the people in charge in this catastrophe was nothing less than complete failure. Possibly criminal negligence. Pray for the people who lost loved ones and properties.

  8. Please don't pour water onto an electrical fire near a live power line maaaaaaannnnn… cmon.

  9. Instead of turning off the water, they should have turned off electricity

  10. No it wasn’t direct energy weapon did it

  11. Sue the power company, don't let the United States take ownership of your land…

  12. Government to blame. The water, electric co., no help. No sirens, no water in hydrants and the coastguard only sent two kayaks. Police say shelter in place!?!?! Murder. 😢💔👎

  13. Thank you for posting your first hand experience! You were doing everything you could with your “little water hose”

  14. They can’t put a finger on the exact cause yet. So they are throwing up everything against the wall and see what sticks.

  15. Some outsiders work. Fishy.

  16. They will claim Acts of God

  17. If the power line goes down you don’t have internet

  18. When did they find out this was the cause?

  19. Lack of maintenance on the power lines. Big companies tend to ignore such things.

  20. And the power company's response was "We followed protocol." How could any sensible person/protocol not see that dry+hurricane force winds=uncontrollable wildfire? But never mind, the utility will just pass on the cost of a settlement to their customers. In California & Oregon, power companies have learned their lesson: a few people whining about temporary, planned outages isn't worth the cost of destruction. Got it, Hawaii Power?

  21. Why would they keep the electric grid on

  22. I've seen video of people literally fleeing into the ocean to try to escape/survive the fires. That's horrifying! I feel so sorry for those poor people. 😢 I can't imagine what they're feeling right now. They deserve more and better than what our government is doing. Biden won't even comment but by God he can tell you what all we're doing for Ukraine! 🤬

  23. A random fool probably statred it all, when theres strong winds they take advantage of it to burn property. Just like California and other states. So later in future the real estate agency sells the property for more money for the rich.😮

  24. 😮😢😮😢😮😮😮😮
