I wonder what happened when the worker took the child out of the room. I pray for healing for you and your whole family, especially your daughter.
How can anyone – and especially someone working with children – think that this is acceptable behaviour for dealing with a four year old?!?
The mom needs to sue the daycare and the lady that abused that child and the other worker who did nothing!!!!!!!
You stand up and ignore the child! Just keep your cool and don't give strong reactions, and use Language. Kids can be difficult, even stubborn! But this is not the proper route to a solution. Address it with them in a way that provides a learning moment. Wow. So unprofessional and mean.
Classroom with no real grown ups! Understimulating and neglectful environment.. NOT a quality preschool program!! Hope your child will be ok
She needs to meet will smith
I had to brace myself to watch this. Nothing worse than seeing children being abused
OMG!
Both of those daycare workers need to be arrested. I canβt believe the other lady would just sit there and watch that child be abused like that. What a spineless bleep!
Unbelievable
Pushing the child was horrible but what was the big deal with the child throwing a shoe?
I'm not surprised by the comments ignoring the childs bad behavior, a good spanking was in order but i'd imagine the comments would be even uglier and the outcome for the teacher far worse.
Alot of children are out of control these days, a lack of discipline and the stuff they show on tv for kids could be to blame
Why isn't she in jail this is bs.
Daycare abuse sounds more appropriate.
This is insane absolutely horrible. This is the reason why I never had my children's in daycare or with babysitters.
Sue that creeper!!
Fire her
LOLOL!!!
That's why this field is no for everyone one u got to have patience and love for children and in the end they are innocent and this child does not deserve this God bless this mother and child π
Is there no training? Are they not aware there are cameras? This is what you're paying for? Your job is to talk to the child, calm them comfort them.
This is disgusting. Child abuse, assault and neglect on the part of both workers. There needs to be accountability for both the "teachers" and the administration. I saw victim blaming comments directed to both the mother and child and am disgusted by these sentiments. This is in no way, shape or form their fault. The child was behaving in an age appropriate way to the environment. She is not emotionally mature and TEACHING NEVER should include physical punishment. This adult did not take even a second to handle the situation in an appropriate way. Children need to feel heard, seen and respected in order to learn to hear, see and respect others. In situations where a child is not calm enough to engage in communication, redirection and a quiet place to calm down are both effective. The mother should pursue every single legal option she has, including pressing charges to the fullest extent and sueing the individuals as well as the center for the trauma caused to herself and her child. I doubt this was a singular experience, but even a singular experience like this can cause lasting trauma to young children. Children do not always have the full ability to control themselves…adults do. No excuse whatsoever.
That other teacher should be held accountable as well! Failure to act makes her complicit. This poor baby! I'm in childcare, and children are bound to act up when they are not being engaged. These workers were just sitting there, doing nothing with these children. How horrible! My heart goes out to this mama. How are you supposed to trust leaving your child with people who behave this way? I hope she is convicted and never steps foot in a childcare center again.

My 2 year old daughter is in daycare. This could be her. I feel sick. How do we know? I trust them, but let's face it. This could be any daycare. I don't know where to begin, but I want to feel reassured now. What do I do, trust/keep trusting blindly? Assume they don't do that? How would you know?
