Two people were killed after an empty container ship hit a bridge over the Pearl River near Guangzhou city, causing part of the bridge to break off, plunging vehicles into the water, Chinese television reported.

The Captain was in the wrong channel going under the bridge as you can see in pictures. Lixinsha bridge is in the Honggili water way not fare from City of Zhonshan. Sad for the deaths but lucky it not a major bridge for traffic.
