  1. You might want to change the description that it was 50 years ago today that the last US troops came home…..seeing as how the fall of Saigon happened in April. Wouldn't expect anything less from the main stream media though…

  2. He was a MARINE. Not a soldier. Army=Soldier

  3. "Ho Schii Minh ViLLe" . 🙂

  4. Sadly, we seem to be heading for another situation where the Draft will be necessary.
Please tell your Congressmen to require the Departments of Defense(DOD) and Veterans Affairs to increase pay and benefits for the REAL patriots, who actually take the Oath to support and defend our Constitution.

  5. My father & I took my Vietnam War veteran grandfather to Washington D.C. several years ago for the first time for him to see the Vietnam War Memorial Wall. My grandfather got drafted in the late 1960s & he got injured by shrapnel from a land mine (in addition to getting shot), so he got sent home & received a Purple Heart. However, 6 of his friends didn't make it back home, so before the trip he made a list of all of their names & where they were located on the wall. As he found each on the wall, he got very emotional knowing that he managed to return home (though injured), get married, have 3 sons, & live another 50 years, but 6 of his friends didn't.

  6. If this does not make one think about preventing a war, not will. Rip Larry Hughes.

  7. The dates are off. When north Vietnam forced all Americans out and helicopters were being pushed off ships, that was in may or june of 1975.

  8. I'm glad they returned the dog tag..
