The threat of violent morning thunderstorms is hanging over NASA’s plans to launch Artemis early Monday after a series of lightning strikes hit lightning towers near the launch pad five times on Saturday. NASA says none of the strikes caused damage to the rocket. If plans go accordingly, astronauts could be on board in 2024, then a moon landing in 2025.

Come on NBC. We keep all an eye out on this. Yes weather was a concern in the 1st hour of the launch window. But the real reason for the abortion were engine and insulation problems with engine 3. Well Northrop Grumman build the engine and Boing assembled it … why don't you put the blame where it belongs? Hint: Never bite the hand that feeds you.
Newscasters: Can we quit using words like threaten….attack…..targeted and violent, etc. C'mon man find a thesaurus and use appropriate words or form intelligent sounding sentences. Alarmist language is replacing what used to be good journalistic practices. Try this headline, "Artemes Launch…" yes that tells you what the story is going to be about, the Artemis. "Artemes Launch Delays…" come on you can do it you clever journalists. "Artemis Morning Launch Possibly Delayed Due to Thunderstorms." Wow, was that so hard? And then you can do some actual journalism afterwards and interview folks, talk about the monetary cost of the delay, disappointment of enthusiasts and the people working on it, etc. Maybe throw in an optomistic piece. The way the title of this video reads, it sounds like the whole thing is going to be struck by lightning and suddenly explode because of cloud terrotists in the sky. Quit insulting intelligence and you might gain more credibility and a loyal viewership and manage to keep it. Or is this the kind of thing that NBC and other corporations leave to experts on youtuber mentality?
