The doctor is incorrect though, THC edibles have childproof containers at least in California. Many companies use childproof packaging even if they are not legally required to.

I don't agree with this outcome something seems off..
The human brain does not have cb2 receptors on the brain stem. Thc cannot effect autonomic nervous system function. Therefore, it is a lie to say that cannabis represses breathing in humans, children or otherwise. Out of the tens of thousands of children treating cancer and other life threatening illnesses with THC based cannabis products with the billions of humans dating back to 3800 years before the birth of Christ, there's no way thIs child somehow became the unlucky first. Being the person who wrote Colorado State's Organic Cultivation SOPs and advised on St. Mary's Hostpitals combined cannabinoid treatment program's dosing recommendations, I'm literally "THE GUY" to ask. Bet you dollars to doughnuts that kid had an allergic reaction to a non-cannabis ingredient. Seeing as your body makes its own endocannabinoids, it's beyond exceedingly rare to be allergic to cannabinoids. Otherwise, your sleep and recovery cycles just plain wouldn't happen. I'm not here to debate anyone, just present facts where they are sorely needed. Besides, I make a pretty great living sharing my knowledge with professionals who value the results that my knowledge cultivates.
