To the people commenting as though the employees are abused slaves, forced to work in the middle of disaster: those people are capable of not coming, I assure you. Those who show up WANT TO BE THERE. They want to be of help, and feeding first responders, and victims with nothing to go back to a meal is their way of helping. While I do not know of any policies regarding free meals, I am also certain many free meals have been enjoyed. Hell! I was in SC back in Jul … the morning cook said he'd only fix me a to go order and that the people coming on shift were gonna show up late …. so I left and went to a Sonic Drive-in! It'll be a while, before I'll walk back in a WH!
