An Alabama woman vanished after calling 911 to report a child walking along an interstate last week, only to reappear two days later, but police still haven’t said what exactly happened to her during that time.
Police in Hoover, Alabama, the city of over 90,000 residents just outside of Birmingham where Carlethia “Carlee” Russell disappeared, released new details about their investigation into her whereabouts Tuesday night. Authorities are scheduled to give additional updates in a news conference Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. local time.
In a press release late Tuesday, police said Russell was seen on surveillance footage walking alone down the sidewalk in her neighborhood the night she came back home. Police said they spoke to Russell “very briefly” after her return, “and are waiting for her to be made available to obtain a more detailed statement about the sequence of events during that timeframe.”

I have a plausible theory for where she went immediately after walking into the woods and disappearing. Since her mom is a Keller Williams agent, if she knew of unoccupied houses for sale in the vicinity, she could have secured lockbox access from her mother's computer, agent login, notes etc beforehand. I noticed a strong number of active listing in the area, also could have been something pending in contract not likely to be scheduled for a viewing. This would explain the robe, toilet paper and snacks too.
She need to be held accountable for what’s she’s done bc she did commit several crimes in the incident, several resources was used for a grown woman pretending to be abducted and now they want the public to say it was excusable because of her mental state. This entire lie was premeditated and she knows very well what she did and why she did it and she has hurt other people because somebody’s daughter somewhere is missing for real, somebody’s daughter will not make it home and to think that she could and would play a harsh and selfish game when those resources would still be in tact for a real abduction. The girl is not crazy she wasn’t delusional, she was just someone that hat think because her family may have money no criminal charges would be brought against her. She needs to be charged with the most serious charge possible and be prosecuted to the fullest. I’m a mother of 3 daughters and to think God forbid, if my daughters went missing they may not receive the attention as her case did is a shame. Her parents have the audacity to speak out and say how cruel people were to them while she was missing, but now that her parents know this was a sick hoax they have yet to speak out and let the world know that their daughter’s actions were even more cruel and to apologize to everyone who prayed, searched and we’re emotionally devastated thinking that there was someone snatching women and children is awful but there hasn’t been any type of apology to anyone. The parents should be ashamed and held accountable as well if they actually still believe she was abducted. She did all of this for attention from her boyfriend and probably is use to having her way and her parents catering to her every demand, it’s time for the local authorities and federal as well to go and pick her up and lick her up, she shouldn’t get a pass because her boyfriend cheated and that’s supposed to excuse everything. It’s women in MARRIAGES for 20,30and 40 years, etc that have problems in their marriages but that does not give them the right to lie and deceive a nation that was standing with her family and friends to bring her back home.
