A pilot was forced to eject from a fighter jet after a crash landing at a Naval base near Dallas. NBC News’ Valerie Castro has more on the investigation including how the whole incident was caught on camera.

Not shown on this particular video but, all three landing gear were on the deck. Then it looked like throttle and/or thrust vectoring malfunction or pilot error.

Too quick to call pilot error, imho – I've watched vids of incidental hard landings in VTOL jets for decades, not exactly uncommon. The way the aircraft floated back up and then nosed in is a first for l'il ole me, though…
