I've been a cyclist for over 30 years & the accident was 100% the riders fault!…BUT, drivers have to stop even if they are local royalty! What she did was a true disgrace!!
It's both there fault he went right through the red light and she should have stopped
Cell phone is more important than watching the road. That's why I quit riding on streets,bike paths now.
These bike people think they automatically are right
The driver was not at fault for hitting the cyclist, but was at fault for not reporting the accident. Cyclist clearly runs a red light through the middle of the intersection.

In a way, it's satisfying to see the cyclist get schooled without getting hurt. They should show this video to everyone. I love riding my bike, but it's shocking how cyclists think traffic lights don't apply to them. It's like most of them don't even slow down let alone stop for a red light. It's especially bad in Jersey City and NYC. I just don't get it. At least stop and look. This could have ended badly for the cyclist and oftentimes it does. Obviously, woman should have stopped and checked on the biker even though it was his fault.
She should be fired
By the way, she ran the red light and waited 6 hours to report the incident to the police. Probably because she was drunk or intoxicated. And the police ONLY wrote her a ticket. So if you work for the government you can run red light and run over people then you get to go home so you try again tomorrow. But if you’re a citizen and get couple of speeding tickets causing no harm, they will take your license away so good luck
It's very unfortunate the cyclists got hit.He ran the red light and I've personally been seeing this a lot lately.Please follow the lights as if your driving your car.The vehicle should very well had stopped and checked on the individual…Two wrongs don't make it right.A lessened learned by both parties.

Seems like here, both are maybe at fault, the biker going against the Light and the Driver for leaving the scene of an accident. Famous people (or people connected to famous people) often seems to get off easy it seems for traffic related violations. How bad would Charges be for Tiger Woods if he had not been famous, or Nancy Pelosi's Husband if he was not married to her. Then there are others that seem to have gotten off easy over the years due to fame and/or connections:
1. Justin Bieber's problems with the Law.
2. Matthew Broderick Driving in Northern Ireland, kills a mother and daughter, but punishment reduced to "Careless Driving and fined $175.
3. Lindsay Lohan Got special treatment in jail.
4. Paris Hilton DUI, Possession, Leaving the scene of an accident. Seems to have been punished less than "regular folk".

He ran the red light and was looking the other way down a one way street. He needs a charge to. All the cars stopped for red light and he's flying thru it
The motorist had a green light, However, she was probably drunk and decided not to stop because of that.

Some of theses cyclists don't follow the rules at all. They are all over the road and act like they own it. The cyclists caused that . Councilwoman should've stopped though.

Just get rid of the intersection and replace it with a roundabout that way cars have to slow down when coming into it
