At least 10 reported tornadoes tore through Indiana, Illinois and Michigan, destroying an apartment complex outside Chicago and causing extensive damage elsewhere. The tornadoes came during a week of severe weather. NBC News’ Adrienne Broaddus reports.

Definitely a shift in where tornadoes are popping up. I live in Oklahoma and was surprised that last year Oklahoma had half the number of tornados for 2023 that Illinois had experienced by August of 2023. Meanwhile we are experiencing less and less rain here. I went home to Florida and saw more rain in a week than I did for about half a year in Oklahoma City.
