The right-wing radio people seem to be saying, "I support the Canadian truckers violating people's rights because they're doing it on behalf of my goals, unlike the BLM protestors who blocked streets and harassed people at night." Please simplify things and explain which rights matter and which don't.
In anticipation of the non-sequiturs and false assumptions:
– I'm a voluntaryist. I value freedom more than you. I'm against all COVID mandates.
– Which protest movement has better motives or reasoning behind their motives is beside my point. We don't abandon rights just because there's a good reason for doing so. If you support the truckers' methods, you have fallen into the classic trap used to justify all sorts of evil.
– I'm not saying the truckers are as wicked as the rioters, looters, and arsonists associated with the anti-police-violence protests. I'm making a direct comparison of certain elements common to both situations: willingness to violate freedom of movement and otherwise interfere with normal activities (e.g. sleep) of innocent third parties. Focus.
– I don't need to have a solution to share before I point out wrongdoing. I don't have to know where the nearest trash can is before criticizing someone for littering, for example.
– My points are, don't hurt innocent people, and don't be a hypocrite.

When does armed resistance become the moral imperative for Canadians given the oppressive PM unilaterally enacting the Emergency Powers Act, previously the War Measures Act?
Vax mandates are going to be lifted because the pandemic is ending, not because of their "better late than never" protests.
While 90% of Canadian truckers are vaxxed, these people are contributing to supply chain shortages and higher inflation. Thank Canadian truckers when you have to pay more for your next car or truck.
How does that protest make sense? Trudeau needs to clear the roads off with tanks. This ain't Mississippi; we have quality schools and we can all REED AND RITE.
