Agree – writing more "feel-good" legislation has proven to simply provide self-justification for our Politicians' mostly ineffectual existence. IMHO – it appears that the root cause is not adversity or disadvantage, but the societal "excuses" given for basic human traits needed to survive. Feeding off these "excuses" takes away that needed drive and makes potentially strong individuals and groups "victims".

We have a BIG problem in America alright, yet it has nothing to do with the NRA, so-called “assault weapons,” AR-15s, or any other type of firearm or magazine capacity. For Americans have always possessed the constitutional right to keep and bear arms, as most have availed themselves of. Yet prior to the last couple of decades, we've not seen this amount of mass murders, which are really domestic terrorist attacks. In fact, many people used to place their firearms in the back window of their trucks, on their walls, in open closets, behind bedroom doors, and in dresser drawers with very few incidents. Full-auto weapons were sold at department stores, and kids even used to bring guns to school as members of shooting teams and hunting clubs, etc.
So what has changed? In the last 20+ years the amount and frequency of psychoactive drugs being prescribed… extremely graphic violent video games, movies, music, and TV shows where the hero is not the good guy, but the gun-wielding lunatic who murders innocent people for fun… the callous disregard for the lives of pre-born human beings… hands-off parenting with little to no discipline… fatherless homes… abandonment of traditional Christian values that America was founded upon… broken homes where most children are not being raised by their loving married father and mother… Encouraging mothers to barbarically butcher their pre-born children… trying to create a genderless society… a society that refuses to hold individuals personally accountable for their words and actions, instead, blames tools like guns.

Remember Stephen Willeford, the NRA instructor who in 2017 used his AR-15 rifle to shoot a mass murderer at the Sutherland Springs, Texas church, thus saving many lives? His case is just one of numerous citizen-involved shootings that occur each year that save countless innocent lives. Therefore illustrating how guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens thwart all sorts of crimes, which is why law enforcement, private security officers, and countless US citizens alike legally open and conceal carry firearms every day.
In fact, police say the mentally deranged woman (who thought she was a man) in Monday's mass murder attack in Nashville had planned to attack other locations besides that Presbyterian Church School, but they had security officers present. Therefore a much softer target was chosen, and three 9-year-old children and three teachers died as a result of their school being left unprotected.
Criminals are attracted to areas where they won’t face armed resistance. Mass murderers, in particular, are interested in maximizing their murder rate, thus avoiding areas where they may run into people who can properly defend themselves and others with arms, such as in "Gun Free Zones" like schools, malls, theaters, etc.
For example, have you ever heard of a mass shooting at a police station, active duty military base, NRA convention, gun store, shooting range, gun show, or another place where most everyone was armed? No, no you haven’t. So don't listen to lies that purport that "guns make people homicidal," or that “Gun-Free-Zones” make people safer. If that were the case then gun manufacturers would be shooting people, and anti-gun politicians and celebrities would not be employing armed security, yet they hypocritically do.
You have to stop allowing everyone to own and carry weapons. It should be obvious to all by now that not all people are capable of and responsible enough to own weapons. McCarthy should deal first with his own mental illness and the widespread mental illness of his MAGA base. Now that Trump is INDICTED…we'll see how all this goes for My Kevin and MAGA.
In certain areas of Texas we do have armed School cops on duty we shoud have school cops throughout the state of Texas and Nationwide, having said that, as gun owner myself, I strongly believe what needs to be a responsible gun owner and keep your weapons under lock and key and I strongly believe once you have a permit to have a concealed weapon not walking around like Gunsmoke, giving responsible gun owners like myself a bad name. ⚔
