  1. Telling people to change the verbiage, but still restrict the rights of people to have access to weapons that they can use to defend themselves is not the win he thinks it is. You can watch Matthew run the gamut on everything that has already been discussed and done already. If he wants a gun debate, I will give him one and by the end of it, he won't say the things he is saying. He would be up to speed on the reality. You can call it gun responsibility or common sense, but it is irresponsible to pin the responsibility of criminals on those that don't commit crimes. It is also not common sense to disarm or make it to where a law can prevent those that use guns for defensive and recreational use when the problem has nothing to do with a tool. It is not common sense to invite totalitarianism into our country, because we have bad people. Uvalde massacre is a drop in the ocean of how many kids the US government has murdered in its history. It makes no sense to think that giving governments, the greatest mass murderers to ever grace this planet, the power to do as they please over the populace. You may think that there is benevolence here, but eventually bad people, usually with good intentions, will take over and the cycle of oppressor to oppressed starts all over again. To think that you can prevent mass murder by taking a tool is not even close to living on the same planet as common sense. Uvalde was emotional, but emotions can make you stupid. People intent on mass murder use whatever is there and guns aren't even the most deadly. Gasoline is sold on every corner and can be used to destroy much more, but are we regulating gas? Can I use gasoline to protect myself and family from aggressors? Do I throw gasoline in the face of an attacker with a knife or gun? They don't want a conversation with 2A folks, because they know they will lose, so they get on here and devise plans to pull at emotions. Also, a Fox poll? Let me explain why 1000 people that are asked uncontextualized questions is more worthless than pluto. When you ask someone a question like "Do you think we should have universal background checks", many that have no clue say, sure. Then you explain to them that you have to have registry in order to enforce a universal background check. That is when most of the people that said "sure", back out of the original question. Adding context to these simple questions usually results in people changing their minds.

  2. Man who lives in a literal castle, guarded by ARMED security advocates we dont protect our children in a similar manner

  3. Abc is so good at wanting to help the left distroy this great country and the constitution right of the people, if only they were a cause for good??? 😢 Probably be censored again because i want to speak my mind, and they dont like that either, especially if you speak truth.

  4. If matthew wants all gun owners to take responsibility for gun crimes, I expect him to take responsibility for all the child traffickers and pedophiles in hollywood. Sounds fair right?

  5. This Dirtbag wants me to take responsibility for other people's criminal actions. No. I refuse. Matthew McConaughey can burn in hell with the rest of the gun control freaks and I'm not sorry for saying so

  6. Mathew I'm not responsible for democrats releasing criminals from their responsibilities ….my state they literally let a dude out on his own merits no bail cause bail is racist according to democrats…the dude literally tried to murder another person…he was released after 1 night in jail no bail at all next day he killed the dude he tried to kill before
    ….

  7. How about talking to someone who knows anything about the law or guns instead?

  8. Why is it… that folks who live in walled communities, with armed guard patrols… always wanna lecture everyone else?

  9. You can put whatever word you want behind gun and it will still be about control. After Uvalde if you seriously think the government can protect you from anything you’re an idiot and you deserve to have your rights violated.

  10. it’s always the ones that can afford security for protection. Y’all better get your ccw got mine pretty easy and I’m in Baltimore just need the money.

  11. Drunk drivers kill people every day. You did commercials for Lincoln, Matthew. You are clearly responsible for the deaths of those people killed in drunk driving crashes. Just using your "logic" alright, alright, alright.

Also, the next time there's a fatal DUI crash, I'm going to come to your house and confiscate the cars in your collection. That'll surely teach those drunk drivers a lesson in responsibility.

  12. What a tool sellout… extremist decisions put people in danger and defenseless.

  13. ANY gun control law is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, PERIOD. When are the leftists going to understand and accept that FACT.

  14. Gun owners, you all love to shout that it's irresponsible gun-carriers who make you "law-abiding and responsible" ones look bad….so why do so many of you advocate against treating gun ownership the same way we treat access to driving a motorized vehicle? I think needing a license with requirements to renew (and additional competence testing-like a practical and written exam and background check every 5 years) is barely brushing the surface and would be a simple enough task without so-called taking away your guns. If your competent prove it, the same way we have to prove we have the skills to drive or hell even operate a fork-lift. It shouldn't be this hard and I honestly think most of you relish in being difficult because you enjoy the opportunity of violence and see it as an American rite of passage. If you actually cared about the people who have been killed and ending the cycle of these perpetrators, you would be the loudest in the room supporting regulation or at least supporting mental health services access…but you do neither. Talk is cheap.

  15. What is all this “background check” crap every time I hear about gun control? Background checks are required to buy a firearm legally, you can’t buy a gun if you’ve had domestic violence, assault, any felony, if you’re under indictment for any felony, I mean there’s a big list of things you have to be clear of with a background check in every state before you can buy a firearm.
And “Fear sells”, no s#it, the “news” makes a ton of money selling fear. As far as talking peoples guns, guns are a right until you forfeit that right by committing a crime. If guns could be confiscated by word of mouth you could have an argument with someone then tell the police that they threatened you even if they didn’t and the police could take their guns? No, now if they told them that they were going to come to their house and shoot them, then that should be investigated but that’s a reasonable threat, they could just as easily say I’m going to come cut your throat, it’s a reasonable threat that if it turns out to be legitimate there’s no reason to take their guns or knives away at the moment because they’ll be arrested in the spot. Maybe if the “news” took some responsibility for treating bad news as a money making machine and therefore inspiring people to become infamous, mass springs wouldn’t happen so often. Just like mental health, it’s actually trendy now to have anxiety and depression…. Where did people learn that from? People in general have to be taught how to feel about things, the “news” And drug companies are in the business of making money and they’re not stupid

  16. NOW RUINED S.S IN SPAIN TOO.

  17. He's so full of himself.

  18. He got airtime for living somewhere until he was 11. Playing no part in the community until after a tragedy, he's now "speaking out" on processes, ownership, and responsibility he's never dealt with first hand. A journalist whose questions are as general to ask, "What's been done? Nothing's been done on the gun side." doesn't read in as competent to his own states laws.

  19. Generally all the Hollywood stars need to sit down.
it's not the gun's that cause these horrid event's, First let's fix pathetic school systems getting paid to keep trouble makers in schools.
The answer is NEVER NEVER "Lets give the government more control"
This isn't the gun owners faults nor these events end once measures are put in place. we need look no farther then every country with existing regulations.
These event's are caused by already felon law breaking criminals in addition to being trans individuals on medication. IT'S MORE THEN OBVIOUS who these offenders will be yet the three letter agency fails at their duty because they no longer server the people.

Majority of great nations either fell conquered or politics ruined them inside out. God gives and the takes away.
in the end these Actors know little of the inner doings of school systems.

  20. Hope is trump… f the man

  21. Dude yo suck shut please… for the love of god… I pray for you

  22. Maybe you could use your $47 dollar right off… that's all over the internet… to feed your wallet.. Maybe don't make kids confused.. get state out of school… parents! Goverment hired teachers are the problem… don't tuch a hit stove

  23. Hahahaha. Lies. Instead of trying to take our rights away, how about go after the true criminals in our country; some of them wear very nice suits.

  24. I will take responsibility for my actions as I have always done, I will take responsibility for criminals actions when you Mr. McConaughey take responsibility for the Uvalde police allowing those children to be murdered by their inaction. Fair trade I think.

  25. How about criminals get punished for their crimes? Most guns used in crimes are stolen or black market. 1st Amendment rights dont ever go away, I have GOD GIVEN right to protest myself against criminals and tryants!

  26. How many teachers have died

  27. This dude isn’t an answer to our problems- he turned 18 and made millions over his face then took off 6 months every year – show up for teachers or stfu

  28. PROTOCOLO DE MATARNOS A TODOS Y DE ASESINAR A LOS REYES PUESTO YA EN ESPAÑA.

  29. Remember when Hunter broke the law in order to buy a gun?

  30. Meet Americans where they are? You are talking about Americans who become enraged by the mention of gun control. It doesn't matter how many kids die. You could broadcast the video and pictures of corpses of dead children on every network after each school shooting and they will not care. All they care about is having their guns for their fantasy Civil War 2 against a 21st century US military. They chose to believe well-funded NRA propaganda. Just look at the comments. No amount of dead children will satisfy them.

  31. Responsible for what. We defend our communities we stop these shootings before they start. The people who need to take responsibility are the ones who keep trying to disarm the people

  32. The solution to this is to hold the police department accountable. They fucked this up. They were practically complicent in how they handled it. The second solution we need to arm teachers and allow parents to defend their childrens lives.

  33. Hey, all you criminals and mass shooters watching this. Do you give a damn about gun control laws?

I bet they do. I bet they support it. Why? Because it renders good people defenseless and easy to rob, steal, murder, and coerce.

  34. Oh yay, another idiot celeb to lecture us from his mansion surrounded by security 24/7….this tactic doesn't work anymore, most of us lost all respect for these jerkoffs years ago…seen the movie ticket sales lately?

  35. He is so dumb. People are able to obtain illegal firearms… so punishing individuals for following the law is insane. Who is to blame? The ATF (a useless organization… look up ruby ridge), FBI, and individuals like him that are trying to rescrict our American rights. How do you fix this issue? Arm the teachers that are able and willing. Solving the problem with guns? Yep! Do you think the farmers with old muskets and pitch forks just let British forces just walk over them? Nope and i'm tired of them trying to take away my rights. You're right, it is a responsibility… but you are blaming an object for a PERSONS action.

  36. How many dislikes are in this video?? 🤣

  37. So, if Matthew is open to conversation, and now he's an expert, why isn't he saying anything about the laws that government is not administering properly or enforcing? Why isn't he advocating for school guards? Mental health initiatives? Maybe he can explain how a Red Flag law will make a difference when people aren't acting on these lunatics for years leading to their shootings? I would bet he isn't actually familiar with gun law or the issues leading and contributing to these shootings.

  38. Responsibility and gun-control are two different things 🤣🤣 – go back to Hollywood

  39. The Constitution is a restriction on government to protect individual rights – government cannot violate people's rights – therefore every single gun law violates the Constitution…..

  40. 🤣🤣 those statistics are BS

  41. Ummm I’m sorry Matthew but a poll of 1200 people does not equate to the populous. 1200 people isn’t the majority nor does that sample size speak for an entire population of 335m. They NEVER mention the number of people polled. Put it on a nation wide ballot & see what you get. … So law makers/police how about you make criminals be responsible for crime. Mandate criminals .. do that. Matthew go interview with a reputable & knowledgeable 2A advocate(s) instead of a soft interview with a news outlet friendly to your well intended cause.

  42. I can’t stomach these tearful twats.

  43. I challenge Mathew the watch “Red Dawn” and not change his opinion if not he needs to just shut up!!!
