What is the global south? I've never heard that term. Where is this garbage going?
All these wastes come from petroleum. We use petroleum for energy, and plastics are by-products. If we rely more on nuclear energy, we will pump less petroleum. With less petroleum, there will be less plastic. Do this thought experiment yourself. If plastics become expensive, you would want to hold on to plastic containers and bottles way longer than you do now.

Waste powers our world? It's becomming obvious that this statement is becomming truer every day as liberals are the waste that want to power our world. But, we can change that. VOTE Conservative. Let's eliminate waste and put it wher it belongs. In a dumpster.
Interesting topic, waste, and definitely causing problem with the water.
There has to be a way around deaths of millions, mentioned above. Again, too much waste. Is there a way to start a new movement toward "righteous purchasing". I hate feeling guilty when I throw something out, but keeping everything is just as sinister! And not at all good.
(Think how clean that sounds as well as well-meaning.) We need to have life time estimate with the cost to recycle, already paid and listed, attached, when we buy, as part of the cost of purchasing anything. I am not clever, but there has to be easier ways to buy and recycle, and avoid most of the plastics we use to get products "home" . Having a car helps, but many don't have that major cost. I don't need another plastic container, or box, or anything other than something to keep it pure and separately, and dry, at times when raining. Then that brings up more plastics…. You are right if this founds backeard, but maybevwe need to start backwards to find a new way away from mass consumption that is destroying ehat we love about our world, when we have not already destroyed it and killed the plants and animals. ,

यह कड़वा सच है या हकीकत है विकसित देशों का कचरा दूसरे देशों में निर्यात किया जाता है क्योंकि विकसित देशों मे प्रदूषण को लेकर कड़े कानून है वहीं दूसरे देशो मे लचर कानून है जिससे वहां कचरा चला जाता है परन्तु हम दुनिया के लोग भूल जाते है जो कचरा हमारे लिए ख़तरनाक है वह दूसरो के लिए होगा क्यो न उस निर्यात कचरे को अपने देश मे ही रिसाइक्लिंग करे लोगों को जागरूक करे प्रकृति को बचाने के लिए हम स्वयं से कदम उठाए। कचरे को पालीथीन से ढक लेने से कूड़ा खत्म नहीं होगा
