I could understand if they took away bail for all (for certain offenses) and just detained offenders till their court date. That would make sense but this does not make sense. It just encourages more offenses and discourages victims from calling the police.
It's open seson on criminals because the law is not going to help you now

Bail is only to ensure the accused shows up to trial. The judge has always had the discretion to set a bail or no bail at all. The judge can choose to order those that pose a threat to the community to held until trial.
Time to leave the state. You have limited time. Take your tax money with you and please do not vote in the future.
I'm up for eliminating cash bail if it ment that people get detained and there release won't be made because bail will be eliminated as an option to be release. Meaning they are held up until court hearing and continue held up till they pay time behind bars . Otherwise I don't see these as a good way reduce crime
