Russian troops are reportedly shelling the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest plant in all of Europe, which supplies Ukraine with at least a quarter of its power. NBC News reporter Phil McCausland discusses the possible threats the power plant could face.

4 nuclear power plants. California certified radiation safety and emergency response. Recommended to bring the portable power generators. Usually nuclear power plants do have backup generators to power the when there is an accident or power grid is down. If the plant has an accident there is no grid power and they can't pull out the fuel rods. The plants begin melt down and power generation has to brought in to power up the plants and pull the rods out. After 7 accidents not one had a backup generator. This is typical nuclear power plants do not have backup generators and they have to be brought in quickly to power up the plant and pull the rods out before the firebricks melt. A backup generator has to be in place to power down a nuclear power plant because they are the power grid. Make sure every powerplant has backup generators to power up the plant and pull the rods out. It is safer to live without electricity than to suffer a nuclear power plant meltdown. Edison generators and dynamos with inverters and transformers can quickly and produce the same power and you can make them from old car generators chiseled to spin like Edison with inverters to deliver House current AC power and transformers to deliver high voltage AC power lines.
