We all know that @ElonMusk is a 3 dimensional chess player of note so I personally would not be too surprised if after congress tries to make him a sock puppet he announces that the deal is off – and the next day he announces that he has put together an alternative to twitter and invites everyone to join.
80 million of his followers of his will sign up immediately, MANY more will follow, Twitter will tank on the stock market and go bankrupt within days.
And it won't cost him much more that a billion dollar cancellation fee because he has probably got all the infrastructure in place to cover the possibility that big tech will try to freeze him out by denying him access to servers that he needs if the deal goes through.
