As a former cop I can't see anything good coming from no-knock warrants. When innocent citizens get killed you know you are failing the community.

Lets also mention at least one case where police kicked in the door of the wrong house and killed an innocent person. Following the law doesn't really seem a mitigating factor in whether the police decide to kill you or not.

These kind of warrants should only be allowed at the Federal level for cases like Waco, TX or major standoffs, hostage to save, or major active issues. Nixon did this so doesn’t surprise me— he was Trump 1.0 and only did one good thing in his term (environment).
End no knock warrants except in cases where federal agents are brought in— not for local or state police.

All you should know is that they should be illegal
Its like the police are trying to imitate SEAL team 6, the difference is SEALs train on a regular basis to do surprise raids without harming anyone that doesn't need to be harmed. Meanwhile police kill the wrong person or simply an unarmed person then get upset when they arent loved and worshipped.

These are American neighborhoods! Not the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan! So why do we have special police units raiding our apartments with zero impunity?! Entering a place of dwelling in a country where citizens can legally defend their property with deadly force is the matter at hand. People being treated like hostiles in their homes is the issue.

Why can't they do s proper investigation? If it the matter is not urgent example suspected bomber preparing bombs no knock warrant should not be used.
Good way for a cop to get shot. Just aggressively enter someone's home guns at the ready and not expect retaliation
No Knock Warrants are supposed to used as a means to protect law enforcement officers from bodily harm and death.
This does not applied to innocent men, women, and children because there are thousands of documented cases in the last 40yrs where men, women, and children received bodily harm and in some cases, death because of No Knock Warrants.
