Got caught in the Great Blizzard of '93 in Alabama. Stuck overnight on the interstate north of Birmingham. We should have made it back to our destination (Hattiesburg, MS) by early evening. We finally got moving as the sun was coming up and we saw a Waffle House right next to the exit. It was still open. The staff had been working for 24 hours straight. I'm not religious, but God Bless Waffle House and especially that staff!
It’s funny because the most resilient structure of storms are Waffle Houses and the most vulnerable are where it’s patrons come from: trailer parks.

Biden Vows Next Hurricane To Hit US Will Be Named After A Woman Of Color
WASHINGTON, D.C. — As Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida, Biden held a press conference to criticize the hurricane naming system and vow that the next major storm will be named after a woman of color.
"Seriously! Irma? Michael? Andrew? Ian? What's with all these white names, folks?" said Biden to several of his dead acquaintances who he saw sitting in the audience. "Why can't we have a Rosa Parks hurricane? Or maybe an Oprah? For real! It's not a joke! Come on, man!"
The World Meteorological Association immediately responded to Biden's request and confirmed they have several names of influential women of color they hope to use for the next deadly tropical cyclone.

Notice how he never answered the question about FEMA preparation when you are aware of how impactful the natural disaster will be? That's because they did no preparation. They didn't help those who couldn't evacuate on their own. I'm betting there are so many deaths that will go unreported just like during Covid-19. But their blood will cry out from their watery graves and demand vengeance and justice! Ian is just the beginning. These people who are challenging God better wake up. It is just going to get worse until they turn from their evil ways and leave poor, innocent people alone, except to help them.
