From what I have read from Police One…the 7 officers who made primary entry 4 minutes into the shooter will be the main focus of what was done wrong.
They make entry. They hear gun fire. They get shot at. They take cover. (That's reasonable)
But as soon as those shot had a lull aka maybe he was reloading or moving position…."why didn't thy push the fight on the gunman"????
ALERRT protocol clearly states….stop the killing…then stop the dying.
If shots were fired…you push forward towards the threat at all costs. Kids will die if you don't push the fight.

I dont blame the perimeter officers for handcuffing parents that were trying to go in with no police markings, potentially getting killing themselves and causing a bigger problem. Cops inside might shoot the wrong person.
Why didn’t the FBI take over the investigation when it was learned that the shooter was communicating with an unnamed person in Germany and another in California? Once a crime crosses state lines or foreign countries, local police should not be the investigating authority.
