I was once discussing with a few friends about how Gilly as a test match player is as great as Sachin in terms of his numbers and impact, they wouldn't have any of it. Lol.
For a man who batted at no 7 for pretty much the entirety of his test career, averaged 50+ for almost his entire career, scored 17 100s and was striking it at 85! That is simply amazing! For someone who virtually batted with the tail, it surely can't get any better than that. Hence, he is as great as any to have played the game across formats. Proper legend!
