The White House is proposing a plan that would force several western states to equally split how much water they use from the Colorado River. The fight over water allocation has been brewing for months as drought is threatening the supply. NBC’s Kayla Tausche has the latest.

Capitalism reality: the most powerful corporations will get the most water to make the most money while everyone else dries up and when it’s gone government will be blamed for mismanagement
Great stream, as always. I appreciate the level-headed approach you take to the news and the markets. Most people believe that investing in crypto and stock is all about holding till it rises, with the last crash in the market and recession. We should know that long term price predictions are very difficult to achieve. It's better to trade short term and make profit. MR K got me cover as I am comfortably making up to 10 BTC monthly.
Increase water prices by 5 then it force conservation at all levels
If you want to screw senior water rights holders, you should at least pay compensation. The proposal just tramples rule of law. You can't just steal senior water rights. The government frames this as reapportioning between states, but the old family farms in California are actually being stolen from. They were using water in the imperial valley long long long before any development in AZ and NV.
how about cutting the Saudis off for the alfalfa growing that they do in america
Look into how much of your state's water goes into rich people's fun like golf and totally unnecessary landscaping projects.
Stop shipping alfalfa to Saudi Arabia. They banned growing it themselves because it’s so water intensive.
Kind of funny how we have a water crisis we're all the immigration is maybe we have too many people in those areas now than we did before because people just get to walk across our border and steal our resources. Water is a resource people. So when you invite people in your country to drink your water there's not enough water for the American citizen get it. Don't worry in 5 to 10 years it'll be a bigger problem and then everyone will be talkin
How about start with golf courses stop watering then and replace them with turf
And yet they haven’t collected any water from the floods, they release tons of fear water over flow. Cali is A tumor to america
Say goodbye to golfcourses 33% of my state's water goes to golf.
California is a drought state, but all rain water go directly into the ocean. Why do the authorities build dams to keep water
Compare the populations. Then factor in how important the agricultural industry is in California. Even split distribution is idiotic if you have common sense. But we are talking the government so …
Can't drink money. Enough with these tropical environments in the desert.
OPTION 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CALIFORNIA BRINGS IN THE MOST TAX MONEY…………THIS IS A NATIONAL SECURITY RISK!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CALIFORNIA HAS THE LARGEST POPULATION AND BRINGS IN THE MOST TAX MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY SHOULDNT HAVE BUILT CITIES IN THE MIDDLE OF A DESERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NO BIDEN YOUR WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
California should be fine with cuts to their allocation for at least this year considering the snowpack in the sierras are almost 3 times average and the state is preparing for flood management.
If you stop building and water acres of Golf courses fueling SOOO much water use in a desert across the SW and West that would be huge but we know that won't happen cause $$ talks. You don't need like hundreds and hundreds of them…..there are courses to play with short and drier grasses fairways and rough to make that unique or maybe just keep the putting greens watered only.
What about distribution based on use? That is the Elephant in the room.
with CA specifically, you gotta look at how water rights have been split and butchered to favor certain companies
Sounds like a good idea!!! 😂
THIS TARN IS FULL OF HAKE, GOLDFISH AND FLOATSAM.
