White House shouldn't make any comment. They have nothing to do with these investigations into Trump. And just because Trump announced his candidacy a ridiculous 2 years before the next election, doesn't give him protection. If he was concerned about being indicted close to an election… maybe he should have cooperated with these investigations upon leaving office.
However, he has no cares for the rule of law. Rules for thee, but not for me. And his base eats it up. I wouldn't be surprised if Trumpers are perfectly fine with any crime he committed. Let's say he did act in a fraudulent manner in regards to pressuring an elected official to throw the election – Trumpers will just say "it was rigged! So he had to do it!" Yeah, but who is telling you that it is rigged… Trump. Don't you think that maybe there is a conflict of interest there?
