The only way they can have new development which they love so much, is by making up stories of accidental forest fires. Don't be deceived into thinking they view it as tragic. Yes, the people up top are liars. Years from now homes near Yosemite will be Big Dollar.
If we blame it on bad people than I guess we'll have to make lemonade with the bad hand we've been dealt type deal.
Just look at all the new development that came out of the fires from 10 years back. (Lemonade from lemons).

I feel for the animals….
Why are they wasting time "saving" sequoias from fires?? Fire is part of their life cycle, sequoia seeds need fire to be able to grow into new trees and the mature trees bark is extremely thick and fire resistant.
This would have never happened if home prices weren’t so exorbitant.
Why can’t there be a big fleet of fire bomber planes that can put down tons of retardant. Maybe the military or?? I just think society could do better
My fellow Californians while this fire burns think about how the sky has remained blue since January. We've made it through half the year without gray smoke filled skies and burning red sunsets. Pray, hope, knock on wood, we will make it to 2023 without a red sun and smoke filled sky.
I'm sure one of those morons who chase the bison 🦬 and grizzly bears 🐻 had something to do with this.
Another informative report would be on the pay these firefighters get for risking their lives. Maybe compare their pay to that of entertainers, Politicos, and corp execs.
Could be that there dropping tons of trees on the forest floor and not moving them out. Plus the sun is on its 11 year cycle and a huge solar storm is going on right now.
They like to throw that worsening climate in there dont they
