They forgot to mention that ABT was founded by Lucia Chase, who ran the company for almost 40 years until 1980. And the first female artistic director of a major company was Agrippina Vaganova when she managed Kirov (Mariinsky) Ballet in 1930s
And I thought all those studios were run by women.
