Not sure what are the benchmarks set by English bowlers these days. This spell had zero skill to be honest. Some poor shots were played, that's all. No movement in the air, or off the seam, no line and length, no variations. Just the short of the length repetitive bowling throughout.. This is why English bowlers have very little success out of their comfort zone and are hammered around quite too often.

As an Aussie I thought Wood bowled near perfect spells in Hobart. Was great to see and made more diffuicult as England were down a bowler. He showed grit and fight and despite the horrific loss he can hold his head high. Well done Mark Wood.
At least the bowlers can for the most part hold their heads up and say they did their job. The batting and fielding let them down.
Mark Wood is an Exceptional fast bowling talent who hits 150 kph consistency. Wood has a very clean athletic action.
Imo he can hit 160 kph if he reduces his jump a bit and focuses on generating torque from rotation of his torso rather than bending his back more.. .
