My great uncle was there on Omaha Beach as a combat engineer and walked with his troops under the arc de triumph where you can see him in the famous photo…never talked about it nor any violent type stories or he'd breakdown…such a shame though my family's so split because we family and non family alike owe it to him to hear his history
