  1. A huge piece of the problem is that content on the streaming platforms need commercial breaks inside the streaming content like it was in broadcast because the ad revenue funded the residuals. If you forced streaming companies to play ads and then forced revenue sharing to the creatives in residuals, you could hammer a massive piece of this. This is a multipronged problem from high to low, and the ad model collapse was a huge loss for the creatives AND the companies and, ironically, even the advertisers. No money from ads? No revenue for ad sharing to creatives like broadcast tv. While i hate commericals? If the price of supporting artists on streaming platforms requires ads? Okay. Movies won't have ads, but if streaming will start feeling like broadcast again and those ad dollars will come in and those ad dollars will be profit sharing to actors, writers and creatives, everyone wins except the inconvenience to viewers. But if money flows to the creatives, and that's the only way? Break the streaming models and force ad dollar sharing. These people are going to be financially ruined if they don't get the model shifted. Some of them will have months. Perhaps the CEOs will come to realize this. There's a way forward. There's a way for everyone to win. Oh, and for SURE ban A.I. from creative writing and all forms of technical writing. ChatGPT has annihilated jobs and that's just the start. Ban A.I. writing and save the humans.

The companies that are allowing and using A.I. to replace humans are going to face a massive rebellion by people and what you are seeing here is a harbinger for the future when A.i. comes REALLY fast for jobs. Wait until it hits white collar. Its going to hit call centers very very very soon with tens and tens and tens of thousands of layoffs. If we dont protect labor NOW across the board, A.I. will trigger a depression. We don't have to go there. Pete Seeger would be screaming with his Banjo right now and, quite frankly, that's what's starting to take place without the music.

It doesn't have to be chaos. There's a way to make it all work. Truly. You start by having a heart, and after that? New ideas that bring people together in the social economy. The human economy. The men and women against the machines (the machines being real, in the system, in the people or even in the ether).

  2. Dumbest strike in history.

  3. If these writers want paid more then actually write good scripts instead of trying to push the woke agenda.

  4. Striking for what? Everything is remakes and reality (non-writing/acting fodder). Typical libtardism … wanting something for nothing. Besides, the world needs waiters, waitresses, and ditch-diggers too. – sorry, waiters, not waitresses cuh daa duh meaning yaw.

  5. Thank God Pray they come to a revelation of God script for their life.. Jesus Christ as their hearts and open their spiritualize how to use their talents the glory of God!!! 🙏❤️✝️💯

  6. Why are some of u saying its an actors strike, its a writers strike. They are the ones asking for better compensation. The actors are fine.

  7. Absolutely no one cares

  8. Good let it die , youtube and twitch are the future just like tv killed radio

  9. Frankly I don't care if they strike or not!! This is an industry that has produced an endless array of crap for the last decade and half!!

  10. AI can entertain the masses. Like the old song Mr. Roboto was referring to.

  11. Well this is what happens when Hollywood burns….

  12. It’s time for them folks to go out a get a regular job just like the rest of us let’s face it technology is booming u may not have a job in ur field no longer especially with AI being around

  13. All the Hollywood "guilds" are nothing but cartels. Their primary mission is to exclude outsiders from competing for their cushy jobs.

  14. ATTENTION: Writers and Actors, you are not missed. Independent content/small content creation is where creativity and innovation lives.

  15. Good riddance. Who gives a CRAP about ANYTHING coming out of Satanic Hollywood??
All I see is degenerative Leftist – Socialist WOKE SH!T coming from these shows THESE WACKY DAYS.
Again, good riddance. Don't let the door hit you on the way out.

  16. OMG How will Hollywood survive without movies that lose hundreds of millions at the box office and streaming shows that nobody watches?

  17. Thank you writers, go strike and take the actors with you.

  18. I’ll write for them.

  19. Either the strikers are going to learn to use extreme measures against the studios or studios should learn to care about people and not their money

  20. I don’t understand why real people are being used as “ACTORS” anymore- AI would be a lot cheaper and they can make the actors look like anything they want and wouldn’t have to worry about any problems with REAL PEOPLE !!! I don’t stream anything anymore – haven’t for years now, and I don’t miss anything !!

  21. Isn't hollyweird gone yet????!???!?

  22. In all honesty, I'm more concerned about nuclear war between Russia and NATO than some actor's strike in Hollywood. The moment those nukes launch and there won't even be a Hollywood anymore. Let alone a YouTube…

Cherish these final moments my fellow YouTubers. WW3 is about to start at any second.
