I am generation Z and I am on my fifth hour on YouTube……
For you delusional boomers, I'm an older Millennial, almost 40 yrs old. I work in a warehouse that ships out medical and surgical supplies 24/7. If my generation and Gen Z only worked 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday you'd all complain about your meds, diapers, etc taking too long to arrive. You geezers need to be grateful we're willing to work odd hours in certain industries including nursing homes because you benefit from it. It's ironic you talk crap about a generation that has to take care of your miserable arses. Maybe we should let you figure it out on your own.
6 am till 2 pm is the perfect shift to work. I'm a first year gen x 😊
O hell idk what a 9 to 5 is. I go to work at 5am and 90% of the time I am not home tell 11pm. Now lazy get off your butts and get to work
I work from 4 to 8. (4 am to 8 pm )
Because they haven't done it! It is HARD to work the third shift. I tried it and literally woke up to seveal pages of "zzzzzzzz" typed on my screen!

Gen Z is absolutely useless to society.. I am a millennial born in the 80s.. do not group me in with these new kids, lady. I have worked 9-5 jobs for over 2 decades, and I have never had my parents bankrolling ANYTHING since I was 16. Thank you.

Hiring managers, avoid hiring anyone that brings up attendance policies, their pro-nouns, their gender identity, LGBTQ policy's etc… Just don't hire them, first to bring a lawsuit.
I’m old school but I’m open for change. The younger generation want changes that seem reasonable. More flexibility and less toxic work environments sounds reasonable to me!

Unfortunately the real world operates on the 9 to 5 system so 95 percent of your company's suppliers are only open 9 to 5 or within a few hours either side of it
I’m a night person through and through.. in fact i try to do all my driving at night.. if you could not guess from that statement i am a truck driver… being up during the day just doesn’t feel right to me… Gen X here
Gen X here, and I agree with the Zoomers. Being a slave to a company is no way to live. If I have a choice between overtime or time for myself, I take time off 99.8% of the time. I took a $30k pay cut at work to go to a position with 3 days off per week, no overtime, and "When you finish what's on the list, you're done for the day, full day's pay".
There's absolutely no reason to give your all to something that will never give back even a fraction, because it's all about itself.
I see it at my job. These college grads are lazy and entitled. They think they deserve a raise after a month. No work ethics

I'm 66 years old, I work for big corporation that was 24/7, I worked plenty of weekends and holidays but I got paid well I had good benefits I was a single mother and I needed that I lived in five states with the company I worked all the shifts many overnights it's what I did so I would survive later in life many of my friends who partied a lot had fun a lot Don't have much now later in life they're struggling many of them are on the government dime with her hand out decisions you make earlier in life help you survive later in life! There are too many mommy and daddies out there anymore that are always trying to make it easier for their kids well you're not
Loved working in ER at night. Not as much bs and more people need real help.

Thats the problem with most people in the 9 to 5 ivr been in the petro chemical industry for over 40 yrs we dint do that shift most of the men that work in plants start at 6am working 10 or 12 hours per day wkends if you get on a good project its 13 days straight 1 sunday off thats only 2 sundays off a month these gen z and millennials are lazy and most useless try working those hours in the cold or heat we dont sit behind a desk and most likely make much more $ than these educated dummies
They want shift work, then go find a job and work 2nd shift lol

Lol, younger people are really lazy. And the only reason. They would choose to work. From 6:00 in the evening until 3:00 am. Is very obvious. They don’t do any work. They Will sleep somewhere. Then they have rest. To do what they want during the day.

Looook i agree a good work ethic is always needed. But its hard not to want 9 to 5. HOWEVER, remember, "Demanding", makes companies move work elsewhere.

So I am a boomer with our traditional values. But every generation has it's differences. Given AI and technology many gen zees have the right to establish what is much more unique to their generation than ours. If they work better on what we call "off hours" then they should have that right. I seldom depart from my old school habits but their paradigm is very different than ours and they are adjusting and adapting to meet the needs of the workforce of THEIR generation. Some careers required day shift workers like health care. This younger generation has different challenges, that doesnt make them lazy. Some things must change in the face of technology. I am for it as long as they pay their taxes and dont break the law. C'mon boomers, things must change. If you want to rip my head off go a head. But they are doing what they have to do. For some of us our race is almost finished! Its okay to be less critical once in a while!
