Not free but for publicity.
My grandfather was one of the founding members of the first sub Aqua club in Ireland back in the 60s. He and his fellow club members had some of the first underwater camera equipment ever seen in Ireland. Because scuba diving was so uncommon in Ireland, An Garda Síochána (the Irish police) would ask the club for help finding missing people and with searching the rivers and lakes in Ireland. My grandfather passed away from cancer when I was young, long before I knew any of this. I feel so proud to know he potentially helped people find closure and find their loved ones.
These individuals deserve the recognition they get and much more.
That’s crazy my last name is Woodruff
It’s really sad to see that the news media can’t keep up with the actual facts when the YouTubers who are doing this have been diving and finding significant things more than just jewelry and iPhones like guns and cars under the water for years now. They didn’t just start doing these things as somebody who’s followed several of the Youtubers do these heroic acts because they love to and since they’re already diving as their passion they’ve turned it into helping people.
But get your facts straight because this is not new nor a new concept. The only part that’s knew about it is you the media just now catching on to what people have been doing in reality. Just because you haven’t reported on it before now doesn’t mean that it hasn’t been happening and doing great things for families and communities especially to receive closure in some cases or get back a missing item that had huge sentimental value to them. Go ahead and try to monetize off of others tragedies with your salacious headlines and lies just because you haven’t done your research. Had you done the investigating journalism you would have found these people years ago.
AWP– finest examples of beauty in humanity! Bravas!!
I think if I'm being honest, every state should have a chapter of adventurers with a purpose how many missing persons cases ground or water could or would be solved? If society would just get a damn grip and stop thinking more about themselves instead of doing for others when they're less fortunate this world would be a better place would it not? I think it would as a matter of fact I know it would be a better place if people weren't so damned ego-driven it goes to show me that there's more compassion with this team then even my own family sadly. I feel more a part of that family then my own wow isn't that ironic?
AWP is the best!
Really makes you wonder just how many missing people have been in waterways just out of sight for years
These guys have solved so many cases with little help from law enforcement…some being very difficult and rude to even work with.
These folks are amazing people!
I love those guys! They have an awesome channel, and do awesome work!! ✌🏾❤️
Way to go ABC for covering AWP and the divers' movement! Love them.
They don’t do it for free. Donations and U tube viewing.
Shows how lazy and inept cops in this country are if YouTubers solve cold cases.

New phenominon? Private divers are all what police departments use
Wow, you guys are amazing. And this story was a happy ending. I know you have 100 more questions then you did yesterday but just take solace in knowing that your mom did not leave you. I'm glad you got a happy ending. This makes me optimistic that maybe 1 day my dad will find his way home too 🥺
Thank God So Much for Adventures with Purpose!!!!! 🙇🏻♀️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙇🏻♀️🙏🙏🙏
So glad they got closure
What they do is heart warming.
Gosh I remember watching him when he dived in his local waters and was cleaning up trash (can's / junk) out of the rivers/lakes he went into then evolving when they'd find cars.. Remember back then PD would be upset with them for taking these cars outta the water then it went to "searching" for missing and the now it's where they are finding many missing ppl helping families "know" where their loved ones were… I'm glad More and more Police Departments accept and appreciate the help… The great thing is these guys don't have the same rules PD does so they are able to do more searching.. Thank AWP for what you are doing to help these families.. and thanks to all PD's who accept their help..
Thank you to everyone who are apart of AWP helping families find their missing loved ones.
I teach forensics, physics based on motor vehicle accidents, and astronomy. My gambit is fascinating, exciting, and sobering: everyday. I have taught students to care, love, reflect, and investigate. I love my job as a teacher more and more each time I get to be apart of their lives years later and how much they have contributed to our society .
I’m so happy for them 😭
They are the best I really enjoy they blogs they really solve cold cases! God bless them
Congratulations to all in your group!! Your services being made via primetime television news at dinnertime is yet another great place to start with the general population. I lived in SE Portland for eleven years, so I feel a little kinship to you; in other words, I am so proud of you. Your accomplishments are to be lauded by all who witness your efforts. Being able to provide answers to families broken by missing lived ones is no small fete. In this day and age of "anti-police" and so much de-funding going on, you have become a blessing to those restricted in providing answers until now. Community efforts is the optimum!
This is a wonderful way to spread their work.
In a way.. These sort of work is so tough… Theres the want to find.. For closure for the family… But then when you find it… Of course theyre not alive.. My heart wouldve shattered seeing the families cry
In just about two years (as of early April, 2022) AWP has found 21 missing people, and the bigger group (including Chaos Divers, Adventures With Nug, etc) are up to 29 people brought home to their families. That's also 21 whole families that can now stop spending every day wondering, worrying, and searching. They can grieve and put their energy back into their own lives. A truly beautiful purpose.
They're an amazing group of people with hearts of gold!!
They are awesome
