Zelensky is trying to convince everyone that he and his country are the embodiment of peace and goodness, that he is a victim of the insidious Putin. This is an absolute lie. Perhaps it's because Ukraine forces park up their tanks etc in prime civilian areas to fire from. Tbe Geneva Convention doesn't seem to figure in their training but as Zelensky opened the prisons at the beginning of this conflict to bolster his forces perhaps that would explain it.
