The Chicago suburb of Des Plaines has made Mega Millions history after a $1.34 billion ticket was sold at a Speedway gas station. The winner has yet to claim their prize, but winners in Illinois can remain anonymous and have 12 months to claim their prize. The lucky store that sold the ticket is also poised to get half a million. From this drawing, 26 players nationwide won a million each, and 375 others scored $10,000.

I hope that person who won is a really smart person. If you take a look back of all the people that has won the lottery, 70 percent or more end of broke within seven years. They lose friends and family. One person was put in prison for putting a hit on his own family member because he had all that money. One was charged for murder for killing a bill collector. Another was charged for tax fraud. Some blew it on drugs, alcohol, mansions, cars just to losing it all in the end. Just think about it. I would love to have money and have a good life, but not at the expense of losing just about everyone around me and end up broke years down the road.
